So, what’s it like?

Two hours, tops. An hour or so in the water or out on the trail. Then have a feed and a decent yarn with people who know exactly what sort of week you’ve had. You’ll go home knackered in the good way.

It’s free. For surfing, we’ve got boards, wetsuits, booties and a coach who’ll show you the ropes. For riding, bring your bike and a helmet and our crew will suss the rest.

Don’t fancy getting wet or muddy? No worries. Come along anyway, have a feed and a yarn, and enjoy a break from the farm in good company.

It started with a surfboard.

What began in Gisborne in 2018 with a turnout of 20 or 30 farmers quickly grew. By 2021, Hamish brought the concept inland to Taupō, creating a mountain biking hub for farming communities far from the coast.

Fast forward to today: we’re active across 25 beaches and 20 riding regions, powered by 2,500 volunteer hours annually.
