Great Gizzy Getaway – Terms and Conditions

By purchasing a ticket in the Great Gizzy Getaway prize draw, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Promoter
   The Great Gizzy Getaway prize draw is run by Surfing for Farmers, part of For Farmers Charitable Trust (CC59049) (“Surfing for Farmers”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
   Funds raised through the prize draw will support Surfing for Farmers and its activities throughout New Zealand.
2. Promotion Period
   The Great Gizzy Getaway prize draw will open once the necessary license has been granted. Promotion period dates pending. The official start date will be announced on the For Farmers website. Entries received outside the Promotion Period will not be accepted.
3. Eligibility
   Entry is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over.
   Employees, contractors and immediate family members of Surfing for Farmers, For Farmers Charitable Trust, Tracta, and any organisations directly involved in administering the prize draw are not eligible to enter.
   The winner and their guests must be legally able to travel within New Zealand and participate in the activities included in the prize.
4. How to Enter
   Tickets can be purchased through the Great Gizzy Getaway page on the For Farmers website during the Promotion Period.
   Each ticket costs NZD $20 and represents one entry into the prize draw.
   Entrants may purchase more than one ticket. Each valid ticket purchased provides one separate entry into the draw.
   All entries must include the entrant’s correct contact details. Surfing for Farmers is not responsible for entries containing incorrect, incomplete or outdated contact information.
5. The Prize
   One winner will receive a Great Gizzy Getaway to Gisborne for themselves and three guests. The prize includes:
   • Return travel to Gisborne for the winner and three guests from within New Zealand
   • Two nights’ accommodation in Gisborne
   • A hosted Gisborne experience
   • Local transport/driver during the hosted experience
   • Surf coaching with a surf professional
   • One custom surfboard for the winner
   • Four Surfing for Farmers hoodies
6. Travel and Prize Conditions
   The getaway is intended to take place in February 2027, with final dates to be confirmed. The final dates will be arranged with the winner and are subject to availability of accommodation, suppliers and hosts.
   The winner is responsible for ensuring that they and their guests are available to travel on the agreed dates.
   If the winner or any guest is unable to participate in a particular activity, no cash refund or alternative compensation will be provided for that component.
   The winner and guests participate in all activities at their own risk and must comply with any reasonable health, safety and participation requirements of the relevant activity providers.
7. Prize Draw and Winner Notification
   The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period.
   The prize draw will take place following the close of the competition, under the supervision of Surfing for Farmers.
   The winner will be contacted using the email address and/or phone number provided when purchasing their ticket.
   The winner will be announced on 21 December 2026 through Surfing for Farmers and/or For Farmers channels, once they have been contacted and confirmed.
   If the winner cannot be contacted within five business days of the first attempted contact, or is found to be ineligible, Surfing for Farmers reserves the right to redraw the prize.
8. Prize Conditions
   The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash unless otherwise agreed by Surfing for Farmers.
   The winner cannot sell, auction or otherwise commercially transfer the prize.
   If circumstances outside Surfing for Farmers’ reasonable control prevent any part of the prize from being provided as described, Surfing for Farmers may substitute that component with an alternative of comparable value.
9. Cancellation or Changes
   Surfing for Farmers reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the prize draw where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary, subject to any applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
   Any material changes will be communicated through the For Farmers website where reasonably practicable.
10. Privacy
    Personal information collected as part of the prize draw will be used to administer the promotion, process ticket purchases, contact the winner and fulfil the prize.
    Personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable New Zealand privacy law and the For Farmers privacy policy.
    Entrants’ personal information will not be provided to third parties except where reasonably necessary to administer the draw or fulfil the prize, or where required by law.
11. Publicity
    By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that Surfing for Farmers may use their name and general location for reasonable promotional purposes relating to the Great Gizzy Getaway and Surfing for Farmers.
    Any use of photographs, video or other identifiable content featuring the winner or their guests will be subject to any necessary consent.
12. General
    Surfing for Farmers’ decisions relating to the administration of the prize draw and determination of the winner are final, subject to applicable law.
    Surfing for Farmers is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete or unable to be processed due to technical issues outside its reasonable control.
    To the maximum extent permitted by law, Surfing for Farmers will not be liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from participation in the prize draw or acceptance or use of the prize, except for liability that cannot legally be excluded.
    Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude or limit any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under New Zealand law.
    The prize draw and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
